Here at Village Dental, we offer comprehensive oral health care services for children of all ages, right from infancy to teenage. We understand the unique dental needs of children and help them maintain a healthy mouth from the very start.
Ideally, a child’s first dental visit should happen when they turn one year old. Your child’s first dental visit gives us a chance to see how their gums are developing and if there are any possible problems with their oral anatomy. We also take the time to educate parents about how they can keep their baby’s mouth clean and healthy.
As your child grows, they will need to visit our office for regular checkups and cleanings. These checkups help us to keep track of your child’s oral development and treat or avoid potential problems at the right time. We will also teach your kid correct brushing and flossing techniques. Preventive treatment such as dental sealants and topical fluoride applications may be administered during the course of your child’s regular dental checkup. Sealants help in preventing cavities by sealing out the pits and fissures on the surface of the back teeth. Fluoride application helps in strengthening the enamel and making it resistant to decay. For children who have lost a baby tooth, we use dental space maintainers to ensure that the incoming permanent tooth erupts in its right position and the remaining baby teeth do not shift into the space created by the lost tooth.
If your child’s teeth are affected by cracks, chips, cavities etc. our office offers restorative treatments such as tooth-colored fillings, composite bonding etc. to help restore your child’s teeth in a natural looking way.
We also offer emergency dentistry services for children in case they start suffering from severe tooth pain suddenly, or if their teeth get knocked out due to an injury, their dental appliances need immediate repair etc.
